Together with artists like Pharrell, Mark Ronson, Cut Copy, Of Montreal, Swizz Beatz and many more, Tiësto remixed a Maroon 5 song for their upcoming remix album, which is a collection of previous released songs, reinterpreted by various artists. Tiësto's remix is of, 'Not falling apart', from Maroon 5's second album. While taking time from working on his next artist album, Tiësto says, 'I was approached by Maroon 5 a couple months ago about doing a remix. I have always liked the singer's voice, but felt like it would be challenging to work on a song that has already been a hit, because people get so used to a certain sound. I tried to find a track that hasn't been played a million times and give it a new interpretation. I'm really happy with the result and think that this new version is a dance floor smash. The remix has a lot more energy than the original and that's when I know my remix is working...'
'I've always found it really interesting that a group of people looking at the same painting can all see different things,' says Maroon 5 vocalist/guitarist Adam Levine. 'That was the idea behind this record—to take a few of our songs and have them interpreted by some of our favorite artists. We were really blown away by what they came up with.'
